Sept 30 is the last day to donate to SRC for the 2020 season.

If you’re able, please make a donation today and help us get closer to our fundraising goal of $100,000. Every dollar is appreciated!

Like many businesses Covid hit SRC hard.

Although we quickly pivoted to offer what we could based on government guidance, SRC’s financial lifeblood of summer memberships and summer swim team income was significantly affected. While we are thankful for the popularity and membership outpouring of support for lap swim, the lap swim program did not make up for the financial impact of a lost summer season. As any home owner knows, what didn’t stop was our little community pool’s need for continued maintenance and improvements … We are trimming trees to retain the view and overhauling SRC’s entire electrical system.  In addition, we poured a brand new surface around the pool in the Spring.  We have also sourced an engineer who can work on drawing up plans that meet health department guidelines for the new slide installation. This project has proved more difficult than expected, but we aim to get it completed before Summer 2021!

As of 8/31/2020 SRC is about a 1/3 of the way to the 2020 fundraising goal of $100,000.  Our fiscal year ends on September 30 and we are making one final push. So, if you are able to donate, please donate today. THANK YOU! If you have already donated THANK YOU! And if unable to donate at this time, there are many other ways you can support us! You can advocate for us by sharing our mission with a family member or friend. Even a quick mention on your social media would mean the world to us. While all of us are facing great challenges at this time, we hope that you can find some peace knowing that our little neighborhood center will continue to thrive because of your generosity.

As a reminder SRC is a 501(c)(3) and charitable donations to SRC are allowed as tax deductions by the IRS, and also makes SRC eligible to receive additional “matching funds” for donations made by individuals working for various employers in the area.

On behalf of all of us at Somerset Recreation Club, thank you for being a part of our community. We wish you and your family health, safety, and happiness and want you to know that together, we can overcome all things. In times like this, we are reminded of how interconnected we all are. Thank you for being part of our community. Without you, none of it is possible.
